FAQ: Known Issues

MACOSX:


Q. Various error during installation process - "Failed to Initialize Browser".
A.
It is highly recommended that MACOSX users install the latest version of the Bushnell NEO Sync Application installer available for download from Bushnell Golf. Download Latest MACOSX Version (Please note : Previously installed versions will need to be removed prior to attempting to install the new version)


Windows Vista / Windows 7:

Q. Installation starts but stops at 99%

A.
If you attempt to install the NEO sync application and the installation stalls at 99% and won't continue, simply close the installer by clicking on the [ X ] at the top right hand corner of the screen. Check to see if there is a "Bushnell NEO Sync" icon on your desktop, if the icon is on your desktop the installer has finished.

If the Bushnell icon is not on your desktop you would need to reinstall the application. In some cases you would need to download the online version of the installer. Download Online Version

Q. I try and start the application but it gets stuck on "Application already running".
A.
If you experience the above error "Application already running" there is a simple solution to clear this error. Simply do the following:

1/ Open "My Computer" from your desktop or by clicking the "Start" button and then "Computer".
2/ Navigate to the following directory/folder : C:\Program Files\Bushnell\Neo Sync\Native
3/ Locate the file "igolf.lck" and delete it.
4/ Once the file is successfully deleted, reboot your computer and the application will load correctly.

Q. NEO Sync Application Stuck on "Searching for Device" in top left corner of screen.
A.
If you are having problems connecting the NEO to your PC with the USB cable and are receiving the "Searching For Device" error at top left hand side of the screen/windows below are the most common cases of this error.

1/ Ensure the NEO is plugged in via the USB cable and connected to your PC.
2/ Turn the Bushnell NEO on and ensure that your have "USB MODE" on the screen.
3/ USB Driver did not install successfully. Please view our online video which explains an alternative way to install the USB driver. View Online Video Here

4/ Windows 7 users are advised to download and install the latest version of Windows 7 USB Driver

Please Note: Some Mobile Telephone Applications (eg Nokia Data Suite, Apple iPhoneSuites etc) have been known to cause problems which will prevent the Bushnell NEO from successfully connecting to your PC. This is due to the fact that these applications consume all available COM ports on your computer. The NEO communicates with your PC via any available COM port 1 through to 9. Your PC will need to have one of these ports available to successfully connect.
